Bethel Blog

The purpose of the Bethel Blog is to engage in thoughtful and faithful discussion of theological value.  It is primarily intended for members of Bethel UCC and will sometimes touch upon community issues relevant to Bethel, but we welcome others to read.  Articles that prompt the discussion will be written by Rev. Stephen Schuette.  The intention is to create an online community where members challenge each other and faith is encouraged.

Please follow these simple guidelines.

  1. Challenging comments in regard to issues and questions are not only welcome but encouraged.  Disparaging comments in regard to persons are never permitted.  Be hard as you wish on issues but always soft on people.  Comments that violate this rule will not be published.
  2. No anonymous comments will be posted.  Participants must be willing to have their first name and last name initial (without email or other contact info.) posted with their comment.
  3. New articles will be posted periodically.
  4. Always send comments to blogs@bethel-ucc.org.  Please place the title of article to which you are responding in the subject line.  Comments will be reviewed and posted periodically.
  5. If you wish to suggest a topic or make a comment directly to Rev. Schuette that you do not wish to have published, please indicate for Rev. Schuette only.
  6. Other guidelines may be added as necessary.
